The Ohaus HP-120 hand-held scale is the perfect scale for quality control applications for samples up to 120 grams. The multiple weighing modes capabilities enables this hand-held to meet the needs of a diverse marketplace. Jewelers can weigh their precious metals in pennyweight or troy ounces at a press of the button. The HP-Series display has an electronic luminescence back light source allowing the display to be read easier in poor lighting environments. Activate this feature by pressing the "Light Bulb" keypad. The back light will automatically turn off after 10 seconds. The soft tactile feedback 4 keypad functions are: On/Zero Key: Pressing this key turns on the scale. This same key operates the zero feature when the scale is on. The zero feature perfect when weighing samples in a weigh boat or other container and you want to know the weight of the sample only. Cal/Units Key: Press this key briefly to change the weighing unit. The following weight units may be selected: grams (g), ounces (oz), pennyweight (dwt) or troy ounces (oz t). This scale is so advanced it will power up in the last weighing mode that was used prior to shutting off the scale. Press and hold the Cal/Unit key to begin the calibration procedure . Light Bulb Key: Press this key to turn on the electronic luminescence back light source for 10 seconds Off Key: Pressing this key turns the scale off.
